The finest program produced by Netflix is back for it's much-anticipated third season and it's broken records in a matter of days. 40M+ households started the show and 18M+ completed it within the first three days of release. That should go someway to showing how popular this show is as we travel once again to Hawkins, Indiana to follow El, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and the rest of our new friends to see what horror sci-fi shenanigans they're up to this time.
We stumbled across this small independent film franchise - "Lord of the Rings" - and it's by some guy called Peter Jackson who frankly we've never heard of before and we thought it was only fair to give it a quick review. It turns out it's alright really...
Not hard to see why this is one of the most highly rated trilogies of all-time and definitely responsible for bringing the fantasy genre to the masses with it's wonderful character development, jaw dropping action and stunning visuals which don't look even remotely dated 20 years later.
P.S. Gimli rules.
And so the curtain has finally come down on the biggest, most popular television show of all-time and in typical Game of Thrones fashion it's been divisive to say the least. Some loved it, some hated it and some decided to sign a petition demanding that it be remade only to be shot down by Sansa Stark herself... which camp are you in?
Whatever you thought of the final episode it's fair to say that we'll likely never see another show like it that makes die-hard fans of all of us.
And now our watch has ended.
We're now one step closer to the last EVER episode of Game of Thrones with episode 5 having aired this last weekend and to say it was another groundbreaking episode would be quite the understatement. We've seen Daenerys finally descend into fully blown Targaryen madness, so much bloodshed, more dragonfire than ever before and we finally got to see the much mooted Cleganebowl between brothers Sandor (The Hound) and Gregor (The Mountain) which was incredible!!
No more Stu flying solo as Rory is back in the co-pilot seat for this episode too!
Defying convention with a short episode (I know, we're as shocked as you are) to cover one of the major plot points of Season 8, Episode 4 of Game of Thrones: have we just seen the true start of Daenerys' descent into madness? Is she now about to embrace her inner Mad Queen and channel her Father? Come listen to Stu as he gives you his thoughts.
Avengers Endgame, the final film in a 22-film saga spanning 11 years, looks set to be the highest grossing film of all-time after taking an incredible $1.2bn in it's first four days as people across the globe all scrambled to see the final film in what's been dubbed "The Infinity Saga" by Marvel and we were no different. We could not wait to watch this film and equally could not wait to review it for you all. As always we want to hear your thoughts, favourite bits, best lines and all the usual stuff which makes us smile from ear to ear in a way that only the MCU can manage.
The long awaited Battle of Wintefell - the battle between the combined allied forces under Daenerys Targaryen and the Army of the Dead led by the Night King - is finally upon us and it delivered on it's promise to be the most epic battle ever seen in either television or film.
What we got was an 82 minute spectacular the likes of which we might never witness again but we still have three episodes to go so this season and this story is far from over.
Next up: the match to King's Landing?
Following on from last week's season opener, episode 2 of Game of Thrones centres around the final moments before the imending Battle of Winterfell between the combined forces of the North, the Unsullied and Dothraki plus two dragons against the Army of the Dead with their one dragon.
Obviously this episode contains spoilers for the episode so you have been warned!
Direwolves, dragons and violence... oh my!
The final season of Game of Thrones is finally upon us and now we'll find out who will sit on the Iron Throne when the dust settles after the battle against the Army of the Dead. This is the television event of the year - and arguably of all-time - so it only seems right that we review the first episode, look at the reunions and foreshadowing for the rest of this landmark season.
Let us know your thoughts on Twitter about this episode and the season ahead - who do you think will ultimately rule? Who will die?
Well we finally managed to defeat the Skrulls who had been impersonating us and procrastinating so it seems only fitting that we come back with our slightly overdue review of Captain Marvel! Oh and be warned this is a long episode even by our standards.
Carol Danvers is a Kree warrior with incredible powers... or is she? There's more than meets the eye with this wise cracking, photo blasting badass so when she comes to Earth and meets a younger Agent Nicholas J. Fury and a very wet-behind-the-ears Agent Phil Coulson you know there's going to be fireworks... literally!
